Ms. Macrina Vicerra-Jaena, certified family nurse practitioner.
Ms. Macrina Vicerra-Jaen is a certified family nurse practitioner. She started her career at Jimenez-Ewa Beach Medical Foundation Clinic in December 2001. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Maui Community College in 1992 where she graduated with honors. She then transferred to the University of Hawaii, Manoa where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1994. She then gained her nursing experience as a staff nurse at Kuakini Hospital from 1992-1995. She transferred to Queen’s Medical Center where she had worked from 1995-2005 as a staff nurse in various departments most notably in the Telemetry Department. In June 2001, she graduated from University of Phoenix (Hawaii Campus) with a Masters of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner where she was awarded with the Spirit of Nursing Award dedicated to her late classmate and best friend, Maria Stasik. In the past, Macrina had
done volunteer work with Aloha Medical Mission and Honolulu Marathon.
Jacky Chacon, certified family nurse practitioner.
Jacky Chacon was born in Los Angeles, California, grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in May of 2000 with a Bachelors in Nursing (BSN). She began Telemetry and Medical Surgical Registered Nursing in Bellevue, Nebraska, were her husband was stationed at Offutt Air force base. She then worked at Alegent Midlands Community hospital for 3.5 years, and also worked for the University of Nebraska with Dr. Barr helping the indigent Mexican population. During these years she also worked in home health to gain experience and submerge herself into the mid-west culture. Then in 2003, while husband was away at war, she went back home to El Paso, Texas and began to work for the Sierra Providence network, staffing throughout hospital in : Renal units, Dialysis units , orthopedic units, telemetry units, pediatrics, rehabilitation units, and general Medical surgical floors, for one
year. In 2004 her husband and herself were stationed to Hickam Airforce base, were she gained employment with Tripler Army Hospital for 3.5 years as a Registered Nurse on their Medical Surgical and Telemetry Units She then. transferred to Veteran of Affairs in 2007 and worked there till 2011, while attending Hawaii Pacific University where she obtained her Masters in nursing Specializing in Family Medicine. She passed her Nurse Practitioner boards in February of 2011 and presently works as a part time Family Nurse Practitioner At Jimenez Ewa Beach Clinic Foundation.
